I love digital pictures, but hard copies are still so important. The nice thing about digital, as overwhelming as it can be, is that we can always reprint pictures - and albums, should anything happen to them!Kristenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16173920845727816914noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6281592630512947401.post-99895296952640412014-03-22T07:59:20.021-07:002014-03-22T07:59:20.021-07:00LOVE this blog! You know it, Sara, my job was to help kids graduate and go to college. But I always loved when Ivy Tech or the military would visit b/c they offered such different options that led to good, successful careers! I even talked to my dad once about why on earth did they make me go to college. OK this comment is getting very long...gonna have to blog my thoughts...lol!Jenny O-Chttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16796549117834467774noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6281592630512947401.post-88229522031346625202014-03-20T12:41:10.372-07:002014-03-20T12:41:10.372-07:00Yes! I think the point of her story was that when you chose one quality to focus on (selflessness, education), our society isn't strong. We need qualities of all the 5 groups to be at our best. I'm enjoying it - but don't know that I'd recommend it to young students. I'm eager to read the next ones!Kristenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16173920845727816914noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6281592630512947401.post-29009843336505062682014-01-11T17:15:30.177-08:002014-01-11T17:15:30.177-08:00I'm proud of you, Sarah! And you did have to grow on your own into the people you would be and that is so very important I think. When two people get married, yes, they are one. But they are still two and they are still doing all the separate things they should do: career, hobbies, other personal goals. At least they should be two. (I am certain that God was being metaphorical in his complete wisdom). I have seen young couples happen and want to spend every single waking moment together. And that's all well and good, until you are unable to be your own person and you've lost yourself and your friends can't recognize you. And that's just a breakup story waiting to happen. So, good for you guys and good for your marriage.

I found a quote on Pinterest the other day and it's so true: "A relationship is more than just finding the right person, it's also about being the right person." Yes, it surely is. Marriage is not a picnic. It's not easy. And it's not always fun. But it's important and amazing and beautiful and so worth it, but you do have to try to be the best you. That is very hard to do every day of the year! And I say "try" because we don't always succeed. At least I don't! And being in the classroom for the last decade like you, you don't always want to be "on" every day. Life gets in the way. You come to first period grumpy from the night before and upset or feeling bad. But just like with marriage, being a teacher is more than yourself. It's what you bring to your students every day, all the time. Whew...no wonder we need summers off! :) Wow...is being a teacher like being in a marriage? May need to mull that one over.

So, thank you for your post. I read them all even if I don't always comment. :) And you're certainly setting an incredible example for your children as you and Jeff work through each day together.

Love you friend!! Keep up your amazing example!Aliciahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03075371325623966064noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6281592630512947401.post-73538950044445381512012-07-20T12:10:56.003-07:002012-07-20T12:10:56.003-07:00It is sad that our youth today think we live in a ...It is sad that our youth today think we live in a "safe" or basically "good" world. Last night's actions only show that sin is at the core of our actions. We should all be held accountable for our own actions and will be on the Last Day. That is why it is so important to know Christ and the cross. May we only feel "safe" in the arms of our living Lord.OAFC Boardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03351160958350216312noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6281592630512947401.post-6962443452790356852012-07-18T19:45:16.641-07:002012-07-18T19:45:16.641-07:00Monica, next week.
